Hibiscus Lemonade

A Floral & Tart Summer Drink

Tired of plain old lemonade? Hibiscus lemonade is the vibrant, floral twist your summer needs. With its ruby-red hue, tangy flavor, and fragrant notes, this drink is as refreshing as it is beautiful. Easy to make and naturally delicious, it’s a crowd-pleaser at any summer gathering.

Ingredients

  • 1 liter of water
  • 2 tablespoons dried hibiscus flowers (or 4 tea bags)
  • 3 tablespoons honey or agave syrup (adjust to taste)
  • Juice of 3 lemons
  • Ice cubes
  • Lemon slices or fresh mint for garnish (optional)

Instructions

1. Make the Hibiscus Infusion

Boil 500 ml of water. Remove from heat, add the hibiscus flowers, cover, and steep for 10–15 minutes.

2. Strain and Sweeten

Strain the infusion and stir in the honey while it’s still warm. Let cool to room temperature.

3. Mix the Lemonade

Add the lemon juice and the remaining 500 ml of cold water. Stir well.

4. Serve Chilled

Pour over ice cubes and garnish with a lemon slice or mint leaves if desired.
