Description
A gourmet twist on the Taco Bell Crunchwrap Supreme featuring duck confit, homemade nacho cheese, Périgord goat cheese, and crispy textures all folded into one unforgettable bite.
Ingredients
4 large homemade flour tortillas
1 cup cooked ground beef or duck confit
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1/2 cup heavy cream
1/2 tsp smoked paprika or piment d’Espelette
4 crispy tostada shells or fried corn tortillas
1/2 cup crumbled Périgord goat cheese (or sour cream)
1 cup shredded lettuce
1 chopped tomato
Salt to taste
Olive oil for cooking
Instructions
1. In a saucepan, heat cream and shredded cheddar over low heat until melted. Stir in smoked paprika or piment d’Espelette to taste. Set aside.
2. Warm tortillas slightly to make them flexible. Place on a flat surface.
3. Add cooked meat to the center of each tortilla. Top with homemade cheese sauce.
4. Place a tostada shell on top of the meat and cheese. Then layer lettuce, tomato, and goat cheese.
5. Fold tortilla edges over the center into a hexagon shape, enclosing the filling completely.
6. Heat a skillet with a bit of oil. Place crunchwrap seam-side down. Press gently and cook until golden brown.
7. Flip and cook the other side until crisp and sealed.
8. Remove from pan, slice in half, and serve hot.
Notes
Use smoked duck confit for a luxurious upgrade.
Homemade tortillas help prevent breakage during folding.
Make extra cheese sauce and store for future nachos or wraps.
