Description

This simple yet stunning swordfish recipe is perfect for a healthy, flavorful dinner. With zesty lemon, fresh herbs, and garlic butter, it’s easy to prepare and impressive on the plate.

Ingredients

Scale

4 swordfish fillets (about 6 oz each)

2 tablespoons olive oil

2 tablespoons unsalted butter

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice

1 teaspoon lemon zest

Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Lemon wedges, for serving

Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) if finishing in the oven.

2. Pat swordfish fillets dry and season both sides with salt and pepper.

3. In a large oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat, heat olive oil.

4. Add swordfish fillets and sear for 2–3 minutes per side until golden.

5. Add butter, garlic, and lemon zest to the skillet.

6. Spoon melted butter mixture over fillets.

7. Transfer skillet to oven and roast for 5–7 minutes, or continue cooking on stovetop until swordfish reaches 135°F internal temperature.

8. Drizzle with lemon juice and garnish with parsley.

9. Serve hot with lemon wedges on the side.

Notes

If you don’t have an oven-safe skillet, transfer fillets to a baking dish after searing.

Avoid overcooking to keep swordfish moist and tender.

Pairs beautifully with roasted vegetables or a light salad.
